Haha, we all were in our tights and look quite weird, especially for me as I never wear them before. Seeing everyone wearing tights, made me quite high, haha, made me spank almost everyone's butt, but it was all just for fun. Guan Ren also tried to flick my cock. The tights maybe has some super natural powers that can turn everyone gay! Haha.
After we warmed up, Coach was calling out our names for the first heats. When he called out my name, boy was I gratified and thrilled that he did, many mixed feelings were felt, like excited that I could row and yet petrified that I would screw up cos I only have been for only 3 sea trainings. Anyways, I psyched myself to do my best and at the end of that 500m mark, no regrets. We all SUIT UP (how I met your mother...remember barney?) anyways, we wore our life jackets and took our paddles, we were ready to go. Coach lead a cheer before we went down and I could see the fire and the exigency to win!
The announcer called, "ARE YOU READY?!?!?!?!" and beeep, we were off. Did our strategy and the boat surge to our liking. However, the stroke rate was ridiculously high, and about the 150m mark we were all exhausted and like what coach said about just tapping water and trying on our luck to end the race as fast as possible. I think that really describes the situation very precisely. SP managed to clinched 1st in our heats as we chased them 3 seats behind. When I came out off the boat, I was thinking to myself, o boy were we gonna get hell from coach, I think this feeling was mutual amongst my team mates. Unfortunately, I was right, coach ranted all his anger on us and we deserved it cos the happened, happen when it was supposed not to happen. Coach even told us how to deal with it before we went down. So yar, can't blame coach for scolding the shit out of us.
Shortly after, it was the Semi Finals, Coach called the line ups for the boat and I was not in. I was disheartened but not setback cos I know I've my everlasting injury and I didn't train much, so there's not much to expect. Nevertheless, I sat at the shore and support my fellow teamates the best I can. This time Coach coaxed the boat, they came in third. And through God's grace we managed to get into the Grand Finals due to our timing.
For the Grand Finals, Coach called out the line ups and yet again I was not in his books, and yes, there was nothing to be disappointed about but except work harder when I've recovered. Anyways the Grand Final was quite a mesmerizing sight as Mountbatten pulled away 1 boat from the 2nd place, and 4 secs away from our boat. So, Mountbatten rightfully came in 1st followed by SIM, Ntu and Ngee Ann! We were 1 sec away from NTU, so we were about 1 and a half boat away from the 1st. This shows that we have to work extremely hard for June race, training is going to step up, and going to give all I can hopefully by then no injuries to hinder my progress :)
Shit I've got a test tomorrow, and it is freaking hard cos it is all memorizing stuff. Digital Communication Technology, yup the name even says it all, dull and yet difficult to absorb! Die. Anyways, I'll try to blog more okay ducky? Don't get you, you have tons of projects filling in, you keep complaining and managed to do them all within the deadline, yet you still can blog! You're a wonder woman! haha =)
Tough times don't last, tough men do!!!
