Singapore Dragon Boat Festival '08

Tomorrow is not only an occasion for us, it's also a very important and crucial day for NPDB! Yes, tomorrow is June race! We have been training hard, our tears, blood and sweat has been spilled out for this race. I've the confidence in every individual that is my teamate, that is beside me, that is on the boat and that wears the distinctive NP Long shorts! We've put in effort and hard work during training, and I'm sure that tomorrow our fruits of our labor will be shown.
God will guide us, He will give us the strength and the power, cos we believe in him. Without Him, we are nothing, with Him, we are everything. He will turn the tide and favor to us, he will be our stronghold and our foundation. Tmr the wind will be in our favor, the current to our needs, the sky shinning brightly and the water, crystal clear.
I've been thinking through, and yes, there's not a need to be nervous cos we are a trained team, we know we're there. What Wen Wei has said today has not gone to waste cos I've thought over it and what was my best set. As I reminisce through my previous trainings, the set that I would love to "re-enact" for tmr's race, is the one that coach scolded and rant at us, taking our triviums away. Why? Simply because I was pissed, not at coach, at myself! Was pondering why can't the boat surge like we just want it to, why did our other teamates pulled away and why we were always tailing them. After our coach scolded us, we were determined, could see that we wanted to prove coach wrong that we still have the capabilities of an IVP boat. We glided, that set was the only set in my entire 3 years that I really push to the maximum, was freaking salivating and blisters came out without me feeling them. Yes, tmr, I shall have that feeling again.
Well, tomorrow, NPDB will be a shocker and bring the house down. This is not being corky, this is confidence. Being corky is easy, cos all you have to do is just talk, it's just words; empty talk. Being confidence is a whole lot of another level, is being able to talk and perform. The latter is more important cos performing is not what everyone can do. I believe in my team, and I know they believe in me. Tomorrow is the day, we prove those whom doubted us and most importantly of all, prove to ourselves that we can do it!!!!

1 more week of Holiday! =(

Hello World! Or rather the small number of people whom actually reads my blog :) HI! It's been quite awhile since I've blog, been a busy bee since the start of the holidays. Never had the urge to blog and nothing much to blog too. Where do I start..Hmmm, okay start from last Saturday.
Went down for training on Saturday, it was early, 9am, so tiring. Thank God, there wasn't running before rowing. Anyways, training was quite bad, we rowed along the canal, which was full of shit like really people's poo. The smell was extremely horrendous, can you imagine..after rowing till the finishing line, finally can take a break, your heart is beating rapidly, you are gasping for air yet you smell shit and now you feel like vomiting! Not only that, while rowing, water is bound to splash, so it's quite frequent that the shit water splashes onto your face. Furthermore, while rowing, I was lucky enough to taste a drop of shit water that sneaked onto my tongue. Boy was it salty!!! I wanted to freaking shout and tear my face from my head! SO DISGUSTING!
Anyways training was bad, coach was not pleased with us at all. In fact he even cut short the training. I was also doing bad for myself I guess cos WenWei said I couldn't synchronize..yup, anyways, I'll always try my best.
After training, we all headed down to Suntec food court, I ate ban mian, like the usual, I like it alot. After that we went back to school for Graduation dinner. Nothing much happened, just ate, listen to the graduating batch talked about their fulfilling 3 years as a Ngee Ann Rower. Yup.

Sunday...omg it was the most tiring training in my whole 3 years so far. I got picked to row for Alumni, thought it was going to be very stressful but glad it wasn't. Crystabel rowed beside me and Farhan infront, and one Alumni guy diagonally. Rowed 2 sets of 800m pacing, it was already quite tiring. Rested quite abit, and then it was Mens training! Tot we were going to do like 2 sets of 800m and maybe a few starts and then call it a day. NO! I was sooooooo wrong! We warmed up again to the canal, yup the shit infested water! Rowed for 3 sets at first, then Coach swapped some rowers. I tot I was gonna be substituted, cos of my injury and all, but I was thinking too much haha! In the end, I rowed 5 sets of close to 800m. I WAS DAMN EXHAUSTED! The last two sets, my muscles were all feeling fatigue, I was simply trying my best to give my remaining strength, but I guess it wasn't good enough. And I guessed that everyone was exhausted too cos our timing was becoming from bad to worse! Anyways continued to row a few starts, and finally training ended. Nevertheless, I was glad that I pushed myself that day, it was rewarding to me. Slept the whole afternoon, was too tired to go to church, hope God understand! Dinner with my family was at Thai Express, my ducky finally found the courage to eat with my parents. Anyways we all came back after a hearty meal, I guess we all over ate, we had like 2 sets of dessert! One from Thai Express and another at a cake cafe. Serene was kind enough to buy honey for the Chews! Thanks baby! =)
Today, I lazed around at home till around 5 50pm, then I decided that I should go for a run since I was gonna feast at Sakura later with the guys. Ran and sweat flowed out from my body and I felt good knowing that I've ran to ease the fat contain that was about to come. Went to Sakura @ Toa Payoh, we had loads of fun especially when FATBOY mimicked Coach's actions like when Coach was teaching us the new rowing technique etc.. it was really hilarious, afterall it was coach, we are talking about here. Anyways hope Coach doesn't take it to heart, if not Wen Wei should mentally prepare himself for his status for June race! The food there wasn't really mind blowing but edible anyhow, ate alot and I feel a diarrhoea coming! =)
Tmr's a new beginning, let us all start a fresh and train hard together! =)

Time to PARTY!!

Today's my last paper for common test, it marks a 7 weeks closure of schooling in Ngee Ann Polytechnic! Wohoo, about one half more sem more to go and no more tertiary education! Yes, to hell with education, why can't we all live like a caveman in the prehistoric days! Ooo noo better not, cos back then, it really depended on the fittest and the strongest to survive! Looking at my size, doubt I will make it! Haha, looks like I can't make a good living in any era...hehe me and my nonsensical side.
Anyways I am so exhilarated that exams are over, I'm sure my friends feel the same way, hope Jun Bin and Hai is able to do their paper today..I think they have just ended. Yup, still waiting like a little boy for my pathetic wrist to heal, anyone that's not familiar with what happened to my wrist should go read on my previous entry. I'm sure I've bored and sucked the living shit outta everyone talking about my injury!
I'm so happy yet sad that the Trivium paddles have arrived, glad that the seniors are able to test out the new gadgets and get use to the new rowing technique with the new paddle. Yes, sad cos I can't get the paddle until I've recover. Sigh, what to do. Anyways.. don't feel like blogging already haha, I want to sleep, so tired since I had only 4 hours of sleep. On top of that, today's paper was like a walk in the park, however, I screwed it up with many kindergarten careless mistakes... o well, F Myself.
I feel that my girlfriend is so diligent, she had only 4 hours of sleep, she came to school to do her radio project even tho she had no classes, furthermore, she beep beep beep beep censored (haha). Sigh, baby, don't work too hard, try to be like me, a carefree bird! :) haha yes, yes, i know..blah blah, not everyone is so privileged like me, so you will say! :)

Never Give Up Never Give In Never Say Never

I've come to a state that my paranoid level has hit the ceiling! I'm seriously damn deprived that I can't train and so my body can't grow, at least when I can train, I'm not that paranoid. Sigh, but what can I do, what you see is what you get. My injury is still here to stay, it may take another 2 weeks or so to completely heal. I am going to psychological prepare myself to seat at the bench and eat bananas while cheering my team mates during June race. Not saying that being a support is a bad thing but it's really demoralizing to know that you are seating at the bench because you are injured. What can I do, it's my fault anyways for being so clumsy in the first place. Furthermore, I was putting the weights down and I got injured while doing so, how pathetic!!
Anyways I've a peace of mind knowing that my team mates are always there rain or shine, through thick and thin, training hard for This June race. I've faith that they can achieve greatness with all the hard work and relentless effort they have put in during training. It really feels empty when I'm not at SDBA during Saturday's morning while I'm at home either sleeping or watching tv. Thinking about MichelleSaur's Lover (hai hhahahah :P), shouting at the top of his voice telling the boat to go long, or John Bean commanding the back pack to push 5, or hearing the annoying yet hilariously low voice that Angus makes, commanding the whole boat. Yup, this is somethings I hear and experience when I'm during training, and it's really builds the camaraderie and the bond we share.
Just want to let you know Hairul that you shouldn't be so paranoid, haha, cos you are not small my friend. And at least you have the capability to train and gym. But nevertheless, I'm seriously damn paranoid, soooo paranoid that I think I wanna start up the Small And Paranoid United Fan Club (SAPUFC), haha sounds cool yea? Wanna join?! Haha! It's because of people like Mr Jun bin, whom is big, yet claims he is small, that's why I'm paranoid. Haha, maybe there's a club for you? Like Big Mother Fucker Says He's Small Club ( BMFSHS)! Don't know whether he is trying to be humble anot, but it's seriously damn annoying. Maybe next time Jun Bin when I say "Wah so big and muscular" You should say "Why thank you, you also quite big yourself" Instead of smiling to yourself like a little school girl and then saying "No la, I where got big, I small" Fuck you and learn! Another thing is Shaun, that one are need to eat more humble pie, haha, always very enthusiastic when he hears the word "BIG", haha, but yar, he is, so there's no point in saying he isn't. Sigh both of them big but one's humble, i think the other haha, you know la! =) Im just kidding, don't get so angry okay? haha! Anyways see you idiots in school, study hard for Common test, esp JB and Hai whom are lucky enough to have 1 bloody paper.
Yesterday, It was quite boring in the moring to the early afternoon, as I was just playing the computer waiting for Serene Chai the Duck to come. Boy, it was seriously damn exhausting when we wanted to watch a movie. We tried Lido at first, wanted to watch Sex & The City, but we saw the horrendous que and we fleed and decided not to watch a move. We tried to look for ducky's shoes that she wanted, but there isn't any around town that would fit her webbed feet cos her shoes needed to be customized haha, kidding, just couldn't find the shoes she wanted. Then I suggested to watch a movie cos it was raining and we couldn't walk around town that much, so we headed to cathay to try our luck.
Luck wasn't on our side that day, so many people were watching movie too, like they had the same idea that rain = watch movie. Anyways we tried Ps and it wasn't any better! So, we just ate dinner at PS and we both headed my house to just laze around and watch tv and play with my balless Milo! Haha, then send her home again in her splendid looking sliver chariot.
:) :) :) :) Have Fun Studying For CT :):):):)
